June 12, 2020

After 3 months, everyone seems to be adjusting to a new reality that seems anything but normal.  Durand State Bank will begin to return to a more normal operation by opening our lobby areas on Monday, June 15th!. However, please note we have implemented safety measures to protect our customers and our employees.  Here are a few things to know before entering our Banks:

* Per Governor Pritzker, face coverings are required.  We will provide a mask if you need one.
* Before entering, we ask that you lower your mask for identification and security purposes.
* Social distancing markers are in place.  We will attempt to limit the number of customers in the lobby.  NOTE:  you may be asked to wait outside or in your car until it is safe to enter.
* Hand sanitizer is available prior to a transaction.
* Plexi-glass / sneeze guards are in place for protection.
* Increased cleaning practices are in place after each customer.
* We ask that only guests conducting business come into the Banks.
* We encourage calling ahead for an appointment to open accounts, for safe deposit box needs or for your loan needs.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate a new way of serving you.  We look forward to seeing you in person!

Sincerely, Kathy Sutherland

3/26/2020 NOTICE:
Durand State Bank has a 63-year history of supporting our customers and communities.  We want you to know that we continue to be here to support you during times of uncertainty.

Each of us have been surrounded by an incredible amount of information surrounding COVID-19 and the national emergency orders.  Durand State Bank is considered an essential business.  Although our lobby access is temporarily suspended during the ‘Shelter at Home’ order, our employees are available by email, phone or by appointment to support your financial needs and/or safe deposit box access.

We thank you for your patience during challenging times as our in-person access is limited.  Despite this temporary change, we are here for you.  We have many digital options to choose from online banking to mobile banking and digital payment services.

As there is no historical experience to consider, the impacts of this national emergency are unknown, yet expected to be far-reaching.  Durand State Bank is here to help alleviate financial hardships you may experience as a result of the COVID-19 state and national orders, possible sickness, and/or workplace changes.  Please reach out to us should you be experiencing financial difficulties.  Whether you need help enrolling in our electronic services or need to speak to someone about a loan payment, we can help develop a plan specific to your situation.  Please call us at 815-248-2101 to speak to your banker.  We are in this together, let Durand State Bank help make a difference.

Sincerely, Kathy Sutherland (President / CEO, Durand State Bank)

3/20/2020 NOTICE:
Durand State Bank’s customers, employees and communities are our top priority.  In order to reduce exposure and help with community health management efforts, our lobby areas will be closed through the Shelter at Home order, subject to public health conditions at that time.

Please use our drive-thru at either our Durand or Lake Summerset locations for most banking services.  We continue to offer many options and strongly encourage our digital tools:
* Online Banking and Mobile App – offers 24/7 account access to check for balances, deposits, transfers and bill payments.  NOTE:  you must be enrolled in Online Banking to access our Mobile App.  Please contact us at 815-248-2101 for assistance.
* Digital Pay / Tap ‘n Pay – to reduce the handling of cash, pay by phone.  Our consumer debit cards are now enabled (with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay) to pay with your phone instead of using your card or cash.
* Drive Thru and Night Deposit Box Services – our drive thru services will remain open during regular business hours and offer most banking services.  We have night drop boxes available after business hours, at both our Durand and Lake Summerset locations.
* ATM locations: We have five ATM’s available 24/7 at the Main bank location; Lake Summerset location; Kinney’s Pump House in Durand; Shell Express in Davis; and the Durand Shell.
* Telephone:  You are welcome to contact us at 815-248-2101 for your banking needs or to make an appointment.  Please note, you may experience an extended wait time due to high call volume.  Your patience is appreciated during this unprecedented time.

Our team is actively monitoring the global and local health situation.  You can check in with us for updates about how we are responding to COVID-19 by visiting www.durandstatebank.com, following our Facebook page or calling us at 815-248-2101.

3/18/2020 NOTICE:
Durand State Bank is totally committed to serving the financial needs of our communities.  A primary part of achieving this mission includes the health and safety of our customers, our employees and our communities.

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Durand State Bank activated our pandemic plans and we continue to closely monitor the situation through the Winnebago County Health Department as well as various healthcare partners such as the Stephenson County Health Department, the Illinois Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  At this time, we are operating under regular banking hours through the drive-thru at both locations.  We offer many online and digital services as mentioned below in our earlier notice.

Finally, please consider the following tips to help prevent the spread of sickness to you and your loved ones (as provided by various healthcare partners):
* Practice good hygiene: wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth;
* Cover your cough / sneeze;
* Avoid close contact with people who are sick and/or practice ‘social distancing’ (close contact with others), use noncontact methods of greetings;
* Clean high touch surfaces often (doorknobs, tables, phones, etc.);
* If you have symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, call your doctor immediately (before visiting their office).

We are thankful for your business and continued trust.

Sincerely,
Kathy Sutherland, President / CEO of Durand State Bank
